When leveling a pier and beam structure as part of our Keep Austin Level Program, it is surveyed and then pre-leveled using temporary supports before any excavation is begun. Once pre-leveled, all existing non-code piers (cedar posts, cinder block or brick piers), damaged beams and floor joists are removed and replaced. The piers are then installed using steel reinforced, cast-in-place concrete piers excavate deep into less active soil and the beams and floor joists are industry standard.
A final leveling process occurs 1-2 days after initial leveling and the entire soil beneath the structure is graded to perfection. All debris is removed and your landscaping manicured to pre-construction conditions.
